Breaking the Silence Through Community Leadership Training

Between 28 April and 2 May 2026, TGNP brought together a diverse group of community members, leaders and advocates for an intensive community leadership training program focused on the prevention of gender-based violence and advance gender equality. Participants from Mabogini (Moshi DC), Mgagao (Mwanga), and Kalenga (Iringa) reinforced the importance of community-driven action in creating safer and more equitable communities.

The annual RWCC reflection meeting in Babati, Manyara provided the opportunity for participants to make recommendations for the final year of the project.

Catalysing Change in Kigoma

TGNP supported Knowledge Centers in Kigoma, Tanzania by conducting a series of community dialogues and capacity-building sessions between September 3 and 7, 2025.

By building the capacity of KC members and fostering collaboration among KCs and community leadership, TGNP is helping to create a foundation for lasting change, driven by the people who know their communities best.

Uniting for Change: TGNP and UN Women Tackle Discriminatory Social Norms

TGNP and UN Women brought together 133 leaders and community members (84 women and 49 men) to challenge and transform discriminatory social norms. Held from July 29 to August 8, 2025, the event united local government and religious leaders, traditional authorities like “Jando” and “Unyago” leaders, and representatives from CBOs and women’s groups from the Lindi, Mtwara, and Pwani regions.
