About
TGNP’s Ideology and philosophy is built on Transformative Feminism, which aims to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and other marginalized groups, whether due to class, sex, gender, age, ethnicity, disability, or geographic and national locations.
Our History
Founded in 1993 as an activist non-profit organization, TGNP became officially registered as TGNP Mtandao Limited in 2012. We emerged from a collective effort by leaders of key women’s and gender organisations who came together to critically reflect on the situation of women—especially those most marginalised and exploited. From this shared vision, TGNP was born to challenge injustice, amplify women’s voices, and drive transformative change in Tanzania.
TGNP’s Ideology and philosophy is built on Transformative Feminism, which is a process that aims to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and other marginalised groups, whether due to class, sex, gender, age, ethnicity, disability, or geographical and national locations.
