Catalysing Change in Kigoma

TGNP supported Knowledge Centers in Kigoma, Tanzania by conducting a series of community dialogues and capacity-building sessions between September 3 and 7, 2025.

By building the capacity of KC members and fostering collaboration among KCs and community leadership, TGNP is helping to create a foundation for lasting change, driven by the people who know their communities best.

Uniting for Change: TGNP and UN Women Tackle Discriminatory Social Norms

TGNP and UN Women brought together 133 leaders and community members (84 women and 49 men) to challenge and transform discriminatory social norms. Held from July 29 to August 8, 2025, the event united local government and religious leaders, traditional authorities like “Jando” and “Unyago” leaders, and representatives from CBOs and women’s groups from the Lindi, Mtwara, and Pwani regions.

Gender Responsive Budgeting

TGNP and UN Women Strengthen Local Capacity on Gender-Responsive Budgeting

In partnership with UN Women, TGNP conducted a successful seven-day backstopping activity for six wards in the Lindi and Mtwara regions. The sessions brought together 26 participants (11 women and 15 men) to strengthen local capacity for gender-responsive budgeting (GRB).

Lilian Liundi, has concluded her contract with us effective 31st May, 2025.
