Between the 17th and 30th of August, 2025, UNFPA convened two meetings to review the Chaguo Langu, Haki Yangu (CLHY) Project (My Choice, My Rights). The collaborative efforts between grassroots organisations and local government underscores the shared commitment to build a future free from violence and discrimination.
TGNP supported Knowledge Centers in Kigoma, Tanzania by conducting a series of community dialogues and capacity-building sessions between September 3 and 7, 2025.
By building the capacity of KC members and fostering collaboration among KCs and community leadership, TGNP is helping to create a foundation for lasting change, driven by the people who know their communities best.
In September 2025, UN Women organised a series of focus group discussions to evaluate the community-level impact of the Women’s Leadership and Economic Rights (WLER) project implemented by TGNP in the Pwani, Lindi, Mtwara, and Dar es Salaam regions.
TGNP and UN Women brought together 133 leaders and community members (84 women and 49 men) to challenge and transform discriminatory social norms. Held from July 29 to August 8, 2025, the event united local government and religious leaders, traditional authorities like “Jando” and “Unyago” leaders, and representatives from CBOs and women’s groups from the Lindi, Mtwara, and Pwani regions.
TGNP, in partnership with UN Women, convened a seven-day backstopping workshop to fortify existing Knowledge Centers to establish Grassroots Gender Transformative Networks (GGTN) in three Dar es Salaam municipalities: Kinondoni, Ilala, and Temeke.
August 25, 2025: In a dynamic three-day forum, TGNP, in partnership with UN Women, convened its quarterly Male Safe Space to foster intergenerational dialogue on positive masculinity.
